Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, family-centered neonatal nursing care in a Level 3 NICU
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support
• Safely administer medications via IV pump and syringe pump and manage IV access
• Support and perform procedures such as PICC/UAC/UVC placement and assist with intubations
• Monitor infants closely, interpret clinical data, and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support families through critical care moments
• Document care accurately in Meditech EMR and follow unit policies and protocols

Qualifications

• Valid RN license for the state of Texas (or compact license if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience (per job listing)
• Current BLS and NRP certification (required)
• Experience with neonatal ventilator management, intubation support, and advanced neonatal procedures
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• STABLE certification preferred; strong team-player attitude and positive demeanor

Knowledge & Skills

• NICU nursing and neonatal resuscitation (NRP)
• Ventilator management and oscillatory ventilation knowledge
• PICC, UAC and UVC placement experience
• Medication administration using IV and syringe pumps
• Bili therapy management (lights/blankets) and phototherapy knowledge
• Meditech EMR documentation and workflow
• Ability to manage varying patient ratios (1:1 to 4:1) and prioritize care in high-acuity settings
