Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients, monitoring complex conditions and responding to changes swiftly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans that improve patient outcomes
• Perform advanced assessments, administer medications and therapies safely, and manage ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring
• Document patient status, interventions and response accurately and timely to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy about diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning
• Actively participate in unit-based initiatives to improve quality, safety and workflow

Qualifications

• Current RN license (active in the state or compact RN eligible) — required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/ICU experience (as noted in the posting)
• Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or required depending on facility
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and ventilator/advanced monitoring skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to the pace of a critical care environment
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of critical care principles and ICU protocols
• Proficiency with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Strong medication administration and IV infusion experience
• Excellent patient assessment and prioritization abilities
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting care accurately
• Team-focused communication with physicians, therapists and support staff
