Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and focused shift assessments for patients newborn through geriatric
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to detect and escalate dysrhythmias promptly
• Administer IV medications including insulin, heparin and diltiazem safely and per protocol
• Conduct hourly rounding and assess pain, Braden, and fall risks each shift
• Collaborate with LNA staff and other team members to ensure timely vitals and patient care
• Manage admissions through midnight and prioritize patient flow in a small, fast-paced unit
• Document care accurately and maintain required skills checklists and certifications

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Active American Heart Association BLS (required)
• Active American Heart Association ACLS (required)
• Minimum 3+ years experience in PCU, Med/Surg and Telemetry (required)
• Basic dysrhythmia competency documented in profile (required)
• Supervisory-signed reference from within the past 2 years (required)
• Skills checklists for Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and PCU current to 1 year (required)
• Must have own vehicle and permanent address included in profile
• Ability to work independently in a small, rural facility and hit the ground running

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• IV medication administration including insulin, heparin and diltiazem
• Medical-surgical patient care with progressive care experience
• Hourly rounding, pain assessments and fall/skin risk evaluation
• Ability to triage and prioritize admissions and acute changes in a small unit
• Clear documentation and familiarity with required skills checklists
• Comfort working autonomously and collaborating with a small support team
