Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality adult medical-surgical nursing care during 12-hour night shifts
• Assess and monitor patients, identify changes in condition, and take appropriate action
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Document patient care thoroughly and promptly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Nebraska licensure or compact licensure welcomed
• Experience in adult medical-surgical nursing (clinical travelers with med-surg experience encouraged to apply)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred or per facility)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment
• Willingness to comply with facility onboarding (background check, drug screen, immunizations)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Active RN licensure in Nebraska (or compact) and required state credentials

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of adult medical-surgical patient care and assessment
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Good clinical judgment and critical thinking during night shifts
• Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Comfortable with electronic charting and timely documentation
