Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to patients within the MST specialty during assigned shifts
• Assess patient condition, implement nursing care plans, and adjust interventions based on clinical findings
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate timely, patient-centered care
• Monitor and report changes in patient status promptly to ensure optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions with clarity and empathy

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) preferred where applicable
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and adjusting to per-diem assignments
• Experience in MST or related clinical areas is a strong plus
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate effectively with patients and team members

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Patient education and care coordination abilities
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in fast-paced clinical settings
