Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care during daytime 12-hour shifts
• Perform comprehensive assessments and communicate findings clearly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate safe patient transitions
• Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity
• Respond to changes in patient condition promptly and escalate concerns appropriately
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and supporting team goals

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license (able to practice in California preferred)
• Minimum clinical experience as an RN; per-diem applicants with solid recent bedside experience encouraged
• Comfort and/or experience working in MST practice or specialty area preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and integrate quickly with unit teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in nursing assessments, medication administration, and documentation
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Effective team communication and patient advocacy
• Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and patient-centered care principles
