Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor patient status and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection prevention practices and maintain a clean patient environment
• Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding) and patient hygiene
• Familiarity with vital signs, basic charting, and care documentation
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Good observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient-centered care and family communication
• Able to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
