Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and provide advanced respiratory care for critically ill patients
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and respond with appropriate interventions
• Assist with intubations and bronchoscopy procedures as needed
• Operate and troubleshoot specialty equipment (V60, Hamilton C1, PB40/PB980, AIRVO, Metaneb)
• Administer and monitor nitric oxide therapy and high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• Document care accurately in the EMR (Meditech) and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide patient- and family-centered education about respiratory care and therapies

Qualifications

• Current CRT or RRT credential (required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• ICU experience is a must — candidates without ICU experience will not be considered
• Preferred: CVICU experience and familiarity with nitric oxide therapy
• Comfort working across all hospital areas (floating to different units may be required)
• Team-player attitude and strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management (including PB40, PB980, Hamilton C1)
• ABG interpretation and EPOC ABG system experience
• High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and AIRVO systems
• Experience with V60 and Metaneb devices
• Bronchoscopy assistance and intubation support
• Nitric oxide management
• Meditech EMR proficiency
• Nebulizer therapies and general respiratory modalities
