Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on care plans
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient progress in the chart
• Act quickly in emergencies — initiate interventions and escalate as needed
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge readiness
• Demonstrate and maintain specialty competency through Trinity testing

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (license verification required)
• Telemetry / Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications as listed
• Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and skills checklist
• Willingness to complete required health screenings and immunizations

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Medical-surgical nursing principles and patient assessment
• IV therapy, medication administration, and infusion safety
• Electronic medical record documentation
• Clinical prioritization, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced unit
