Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Perform thorough pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for interventions
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Continuously monitor hemodynamics and telemetry; document patient responses accurately
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure cath lab equipment readiness and safety
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-procedure care, and follow-up instructions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina (or multistate compact license as applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience (per job posting)
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage critically ill cardiac patients and acute procedural care
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and angiography
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Sterile technique and procedural room workflow
• Patient assessment, triage, and post-procedure monitoring
• Clear documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
