Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and provide advanced respiratory support for critically ill patients
• Perform ABGs and interpret results to guide patient treatment
• Assist with bronchoscopy and intubation procedures as part of the critical care team
• Administer nebulizer therapy, HFNC and other respiratory modalities like AIRVO and Metaneb
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilator platforms such as V60, Hamilton C1, PB40 and PB980
• Deliver nitric management when required and support complex respiratory interventions
• Document care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team
• Float across hospital areas as needed to support unit staffing and maintain patient safety

Qualifications

• CRT or RRT required (must hold active credential)
• ACLS and BLS required and up to date
• Minimum 1 year of relevant respiratory therapy experience (ICU experience required)
• Comfortable with adult critical care procedures including ventilator management and ABGs
• Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus
• Team player with strong communication skills and adaptability for floating across units

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced ventilator management and troubleshooting
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and nebulizer therapy
• Familiarity with V60, Hamilton C1, PB40, PB980 ventilator platforms
• Experience with Metaneb, EPOC ABG system and AIRVO
• Bronchoscopy and intubation assistance skills
• Nitric management experience
• Proficiency documenting care in Meditech EMR
