Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert labor and delivery nursing care for high-risk OB patients, ensuring maternal and fetal safety
• Perform and interpret intermediate fetal monitoring to detect and respond to changes promptly
• Manage high-acuity therapies including magnesium and insulin drips with precision and vigilance
• Collaborate in the OR as circulate or scrub during deliveries and surgical procedures
• Respond to neonatal needs with NRP skills and coordinate handoff to neonatal teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (CPN/Meditech) and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
• Support a 2:1 patient ratio model, prioritizing hands-on, patient-centered care
• Participate in on-call rotation and float assignments within the women’s services as required

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state licensure required)
• Minimum 1 year travel experience in high-risk OB L&D (required)
• NRP, ACLS and BLS certifications (current) — required
• Proven ability with intermediate fetal monitoring
• Experience with high-risk OB care, including magnesium and insulin drip management
• Comfortable circulating/scrubbing in delivery/OR settings
• Familiarity with EMR systems (CPN/Meditech preferred)
• Team-player attitude with the ability to thrive in high-volume settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor & Delivery clinical expertise and high-risk OB management
• Intermediate fetal monitoring and fetal strip interpretation
• Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and maternal cardiac support (ACLS)
• Medication infusion management including magnesium and insulin drips
• Circulate/scrub skills for OR-assisted deliveries
• Proficiency with EMR (CPN/Meditech)
• Ability to work with 2:1 patient ratios and handle high-volume demands
• On-call and float flexibility within women's services
