Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients rapidly and accurately to prioritize care
• Perform and supervise procedures such as ultrasound-guided IV insertion and IO insertion
• Monitor cardiac status and interpret EKGs to support timely interventions
• Deliver trauma, stroke, and cardiopulmonary care in a fast-paced ED setting
• Administer medications and manage infusions using Alaris pumps and Pyxis systems
• Document patient care clearly and promptly in Sunrise/Allscripts EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary services to coordinate patient flow
• Provide compassionate care for diverse patient populations, including psychiatric hold patients

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience for contract roles
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required for contract labor
• Demonstrated ultrasound-guided IV insertion skills
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Dependable and punctual with the ability to adapt in surge situations

• Trauma, stroke, and cardiopulmonary emergency care

• Familiarity with Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
• Psychiatric holding area care and safe management practices
• Strong teamwork and clear communication under pressure
