Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage adult patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care including medication administration and treatments
• Monitor, interpret and respond to changing patient conditions and vital signs
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and the ED team to coordinate care
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Participate in emergency responses and procedures, maintaining composure under pressure
• Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a patient-centered environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for practice in Texas (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience (as listed)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills for adult patients
• Proficient intravenous therapy and medication administration
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and make critical decisions under pressure
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and team members
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation and hospital protocols
• Team-oriented mindset and adaptability in a high-acuity environment
