Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and CT imaging exams with professionalism and clinical accuracy
• Position patients safely and effectively to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following all radiation safety protocols
• Respond quickly and competently in emergency situations to support patient care
• Document exams, maintain accurate records, and ensure strict patient confidentiality
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities to enhance department performance
• Assist with patient scheduling, phone triage, and department workflow as needed
• Collaborate with the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, medical staff, and peers to deliver excellent patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program with an Associate of Science degree
• Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) licensure required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred
• Experience in at least two imaging modalities preferred
• Two years acute care experience preferred; experience in a freestanding diagnostic imaging facility may be substituted
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to work shared call, evenings, and weekends

Education

• Associate of Science from an accredited Radiology program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in radiography (X-ray) and CT imaging
• Proven ability in patient positioning and radiation safety
• Experience with imaging equipment operation and image quality control
• Knowledge of federal and state regulatory compliance for diagnostic imaging
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient care across age groups
• Ability to organize equipment, supplies, and documentation efficiently
• Comfort reacting quickly during equipment issues or emergency situations
