Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate med-surg patient care, ensuring safety and comfort during 12-hour night shifts
• Administer and manage therapies and equipment such as feeding pumps, IV pumps, PCA, Wound VAC and oxygen
• Perform medication administration and monitor patient response, escalating changes using strong critical thinking
• Manage lines and catheters including central line and Foley care with strict infection control practices
• Support patients with complex conditions — cardiac, renal transplant, dialysis, pulmonary, GI and diabetes management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and charge staff to maintain appropriate patient ratios and continuity of care
• Document care accurately in Meditech and participate in shift handoffs to ensure safe transitions

Qualifications

• Valid LVN/LPN license in good standing
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience (Med-Surg experience preferred)
• IV skills and experience with common med-surg equipment preferred
• ACLS preferred and experience with cardiac/renal/pulmonary care is a plus
• Strong critical thinking, cultural competency, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Meditech EMR familiarity
• Med-Surg clinical knowledge and safe patient handling
• Proficiency with feeding pumps, IV pumps, Wound VAC, PCA and oxygen therapy
• Central line and Foley management
• Experience with renal transplant, dialysis, cardiac, pulmonary and diabetes care
• Effective communication, teamwork, and culturally competent patient care
