Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate bedside care and monitor patient status with attention to detail
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following protocols
• Perform thorough patient assessments and escalate changes to the care team
• Document patient care clearly and promptly in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to support care plans
• Support patient and family education, helping them understand care instructions
• Promote a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and team huddles

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (WV licensure required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum experience caring for adult patients preferred, previous long-term care or med-surg experience a plus
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and comfortable working independently on night shift

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - state licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in vital signs, wound care basics, and medication administration
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting and documentation best practices
• Knowledge of infection control standards and patient safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Good teamwork, patient advocacy, and family communication skills
