Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Triage and assess patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Manage and coordinate ED Holds, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care
• Administer emergency treatments and medications per ACLS/PALS protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to streamline patient flow
• Complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and maintain skills checklist documentation
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and handoffs in the electronic medical record
• Participate in infection control practices and personal health compliance

Qualifications

• Current RN license (CT) — License/Certificate Verification required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications required
• Comfortable and experienced managing ED Holds and high-acuity patients
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Fit test and compliance with required immunizations and health screenings

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
• Knowledge of ACLS/PALS algorithms and emergency interventions
• Experience with ED flow, patient disposition and holding processes
• Proficient clinical documentation and care coordination
• Ability to perform under pressure with excellent prioritization and communication
