Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate and support cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and smooth case flow
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation per protocol and respond to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians and the cath lab team during LHC, RHC, TAVR, TEER, EP and other advanced procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging and monitoring equipment while coordinating with techs and rad team
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in the Merge system and other hospital records
• Participate in call rotations and provide timely, professional support when on-call
• Advocate for patients and provide compassionate pre- and post-procedure care and education

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state of practice) required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (Cath Lab experience preferred/required per posting)
• Must have cath lab circulating experience and demonstrated moderate sedation skills
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT (R)
• Experience with advanced cardiac procedures (LHC, RHC, TAVR, TEER, EP, ECMO, Impella, ICD/PPM, peripheral/endovascular procedures) preferred
• Experience with Merge documentation is a strong asset

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and peri-procedural nursing care
• Familiarity with imaging systems (Philips, Siemens) and procedure room workflows
• Comfortable using Merge for documentation and charting
• Skilled at moderate sedation monitoring and emergency response
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity procedural settings
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain attention to detail during complex cases
