Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams using GE equipment, ensuring diagnostic images meet protocol standards
• Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout MRI procedures, including proper screening for magnetic contraindications
• Document procedures and findings accurately in Meditech and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Operate and troubleshoot MRI systems, coordinating with biomed and imaging leadership when needed
• Adhere to MRI safety policies and infection control guidelines to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff to support efficient, patient-centered imaging services

Qualifications

• ARRT or ARMIT certification required for MRI
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant MRI/Imaging experience (2 years preferred)
• Experience with GE MRI systems and Meditech EMR is a plus
• Comfort working overnight shifts and weekends as part of an 'all shifts' coverage model

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of MRI safety and magnetic field precautions
• Proficient in MRI scanning protocols and image optimization
• Familiarity with GE imaging platforms and routine system checks
• Ability to accurately document in Meditech and communicate results to the care team
• Excellent patient care skills, positioning, and ability to calm anxious patients
• Teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts
