Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student communication needs
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy across K-12 settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals that drive measurable progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and progress notes
- Provide consultation and classroom-based support to integrate therapy into learning
- Travel between district sites as needed to ensure students receive services
Qualifications
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA CCCs) required
- Colorado SLP license required or willingness to obtain license before start date
- Experience working with K-12 students or school-based SLP experience preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel between district sites during the school day
- Provide 3 professional references (2 supervisory) as part of the application
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field (typical requirement for ASHA CCCs)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assessment and intervention for articulation, language, fluency, and social communication
- Familiarity with IEP development and special education processes
- Strong classroom collaboration and consultative skills
- Caseload management, progress monitoring, and documentation best practices
- Effective family communication and culturally responsive care
