Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and rapidly assess patients of all ages in a busy emergency department
• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care across a 15-bed ED plus a 6-bed fast track
• Stabilize and manage acute and emergent conditions with confidence and compassion
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the medical record
• Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and follow-up guidance
• Support fast track operations to help maintain flow and patient satisfaction
• Contribute to a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork

Qualifications

• Current Hawaii RN license required
• Registered Nurse (RN) with emergency nursing experience
• Comfortable providing care to all ages and populations
• Ability to work rotating day, evening, and night shifts
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience in Emergency Department care and fast track environments
• Assessment and triage skills for pediatric and adult patients
• Ability to manage multiple patients in a high-acuity setting
• Clear documentation and handoff communication
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow
