Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging across ER and acute care populations, ensuring excellent image acquisition
• Prepare for and administer contrast media safely and per protocol
• Establish peripheral IV access when needed to facilitate CT procedures
• Operate Siemens CT systems and manage image workflow through PACS
• Create and utilize multiplanar reconstructions (MPR) and advanced post-processing for diagnostic clarity
• Execute specialized CT procedures including brain perfusion, CT arthrography, and vascular CTA
• Provide timely, clear documentation in the charting system (Mediteach / Epic preferred)
• Collaborate closely with emergency clinicians to prioritize studies and support rapid patient care decisions

Qualifications

• Required: AART certification and current BLS
• Minimum: 1 year of CT experience (REQ: 1 year)
• Community hospital experience: required
• Preferred: ARRT (CT) and ARRT R
• Preferred experience in Trauma Level I settings, pediatric acute care, NICU/PICU, ICU/stroke imaging
• Open to first-time travel clinicians; local candidates accepted
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced ER/graveyard environment and handling acute cases

Education

• Required certifications: AART, BLS
• Preferred certifications: ARRT (CT), ARRT R

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with CT imaging protocols for head, neck, chest, abdomen & pelvis, and spine studies
• Experience with Siemens CT scanners and PACS workflow
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration
• Ability to perform peripheral IV starts for contrast delivery
• Experience with multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and post-processing techniques
• Competence in advanced procedures: brain perfusion, vascular CTA, CT arthrography
• Familiarity with Mediteach and/or Epic charting systems
• Comfort working with pediatric and adult acute care populations in an ER setting
