Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, typically 3x12. Day shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM; Night shift: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM. Schedule includes weekends and varies across weekdays (day or night coverage as needed).
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing care across units, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care
- Coordinate bed management and facility/bed diversion activities to optimize patient flow
- Serve as point person for code management and rapid response activations
- Provide crisis intervention and management when urgent or complex situations arise
- Support and mentor bedside staff and assist with nursing supervision across units
- Ensure infection control and workplace safety standards are followed
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements such as DPH, TJC, and OSHA
- Facilitate transfers, new admissions, post-operative and post-procedure care transitions
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing for Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; ED or ICU experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS highly desired
- Experience with Epic charting system (required)
- Comfort floating between units and facilities based on patient care needs
- Valid driver and reliable vehicle for assignment travel between regional facilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and crisis-management skills
Education
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) and active RN license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Inpatient acute care and emergency care expertise
- Experience with code management and rapid response team processes
- Bed management and facility diversion strategies
- Infection control and isolation procedures
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (DPH, TJC, OSHA)
- Customer service and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to supervise nursing care delivered across multiple units
