Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in breast biopsy procedures including needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and ductograms — play a key part in diagnostic care
• Instruct and position patients to obtain diagnostic-quality radiographs with care and clarity
• Ensure the imaging area meets safety, supply, and cleanliness standards so patients and staff are protected
• Manually enter procedural and patient data accurately to prepare for dictation and billing
• Adhere to all KCI (Karmanos Cancer Institute) policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to ease anxiety and ensure cooperation during imaging

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Mammography experience — required
• ARRT (M) certification — required (please have documentation ready)
• BLS (AHA) certification — required
• Comfort and experience assisting with breast biopsy procedures and patient positioning
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate manual data entry

Knowledge & Skills

• Mammography imaging techniques and best practices
• Stereotactic biopsy and needle localization support
• Ductograms and diagnostic radiography principles
• Patient positioning for high-quality diagnostic images
• Familiarity with safety, equipment maintenance, and supply management
• Accurate manual data entry and preparation for dictation
