Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in adult, pediatric, and neonatal critical care areas
• Operate and manage ventilators and respiratory support equipment with attention to safety and efficacy
• Assess patients, develop and implement respiratory care plans, and adjust therapy as needed
• Collaborate with the RT Supervisor, Cardiopulmonary Manager, and multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Train, mentor, and support RT personnel in critical care practices and unit protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation, follow compliance requirements, and ensure timely submission of credentials
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and participate in unit quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma state respiratory care license (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Comfortable and experienced providing patient care in adult, pediatric, and neonatal critical care settings
• Experience training or mentoring RT staff is a plus
• Willingness to complete all compliance and credentialing materials at least one week prior to start
• NIHSS familiarity or certification is a nice-to-have

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical expertise in respiratory therapy interventions across critical care populations
• Proficiency with ventilator management, airway care, and advanced respiratory modalities
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in high-acuity settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to train and mentor colleagues and contribute to a learning-focused environment
• Comfort with clinical documentation, policy adherence, and compliance workflows
