Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver total nursing care for adult-geriatric patients on the Med-Surg unit
• Provide compassionate patient and family teaching to support recovery and discharge planning
• Lead and collaborate with ancillary nursing and patient team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards
• Accurately document patient care and assessments in the Epic EMR
• Float to the Thompson Unit or Kingsbury custodial patients as needed, adjusting to higher patient ratios and differing acuity
• Maintain required compliance documentation and upload proofs to the client portal (Trio) within required timelines

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license OR Compact RN (NH license must be in-hand and uploaded at profile submission)
• Minimum 2+ years of Med-Surg nursing experience required
• Experience using Epic EMR (required)
• Current American Heart Association BLS (required)
• Current American Heart Association ACLS (required)
• Willingness to float to Thompson Unit and Kingsbury as needed
• Own reliable vehicle for travel assignment (required)
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years and up-to-date Med-Surg skills checklist (within 1 year) required
• Perm address must be included in profile; note that candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility (local travelers) will not be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong adult-geriatric Med-Surg clinical judgment and assessment skills
• Proficiency with Epic EMR documentation and workflows
• Effective patient and family education techniques
• Ability to lead and work cooperatively with interdisciplinary teams
• Comfort managing higher patient ratios and custodial patient needs when floating
• Good time management, prioritization, and adaptability in fast-paced settings
