Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients across the continuum of care
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to support timely clinical interventions
- Administer and manage medications and blood products, following unit protocols and safety checks
- Perform IV access, start and maintain IVs, and obtain central line blood draws when needed
- Support chemotherapy administration per policy (ONS Chemo certification preferred) and collaborate with pharmacy
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in EPIC to ensure continuity and safety
- Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions to protect immunocompromised patients
- Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active RN license (eligible to practice in the assignment state)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (must meet experience within the 3 most recent years; at least 1 year of current specialty experience required for clinical pass)
- BLS certification required
- ONS Chemo certification preferred
- Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line access and blood product administration preferred
- Willingness to float to other MedSurg Oncology units and learn new procedures
- Professional, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry interpretation and continuous cardiac monitoring skills
- EPIC computerized charting experience
- IV access, maintenance and central line blood draw proficiency
- Blood product administration and port access skills
- Dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Infection prevention, isolation precautions and PPE best practices
- Tracheostomy care and basic respiratory support knowledge
- Familiarity with unit equipment: GE B450 telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps, bladder scanners and Stryker beds
