Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely stat and emergency reads for XR, CT, MRI and ultrasound studies
• Prioritize and manage inpatient and ER imaging needs to support acute clinical decision-making
• Communicate findings clearly and promptly to ED physicians, hospitalists and care teams
• Maintain high-quality reporting standards while meeting productivity expectations (wRVU-focused)
• Collaborate with on-site staff and remote colleagues to ensure continuity of care
• Triage studies effectively, escalating critical findings immediately to the treating team
• Participate in quality assurance activities and peer review to continuously improve service

Qualifications

• MD or DO (or equivalent) with completion of Diagnostic Radiology residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology strongly preferred
• Active or eligible for state medical licensure for telemedicine practice
• Demonstrated experience with teleradiology and overnight/ER/inpatient stat reads
• Proficiency interpreting X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound in acute care settings
• Comfortable working remotely with PACS/RIS and delivering rapid turnaround interpretations
• Strong communication skills for timely consultation with emergency and inpatient teams

Education

• MD or DO with completion of Diagnostic Radiology residency (fellowship in MSK or Neuroradiology preferred but not required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency radiology workflows and prioritizing high-acuity cases
• Proficiency using PACS, reporting systems and common teleradiology platforms
• Solid understanding of cross-sectional imaging (CT, MRI) and point-of-care ultrasound interpretation
• Ability to maintain productivity targets while ensuring diagnostic accuracy
• Excellent clinical communication and rapid decision-making under time pressure
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes and peer-review in radiology
