Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Measure and record vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Support nursing staff in implementing individualized care plans and interventions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate clearly during shift handoffs
• Uphold infection control standards and contribute to a clean, safe environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (North Carolina or state-appropriate credential) — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfortable with patient lifting/assistance and standing for shifts
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience a plus; new grads with certification are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
• Knowledge of vital sign monitoring and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and HIPAA privacy principles
• Basic charting/EHR entry skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary care team and following care plans
