Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing care throughout the shift
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly escalate changes in rhythm or patient condition
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings accurately, and implement appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and adjust individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely according to policy
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, and discharge instructions to support recovery

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — California licensure or eligibility preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred — comfortable with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced environments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry alarm management
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation best practices
• Ability to triage, escalate concerns, and work collaboratively with physicians and care teams
• Comfortable managing multiple patients and responding to acute changes
