Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Louisville, KY
Start Date: 05-04-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; exact start/end times and days vary by unit and will be confirmed with scheduling. Telemetry (RN) coverage.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly identify rhythm changes to keep patients safe
- Perform thorough assessments and intervene appropriately according to patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Provide patient and family education about cardiac conditions and care plans
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Kentucky or compact license eligible
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
- Telemetry clinical experience or strong interest in cardiac monitoring
- Excellent assessment, communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to pass facility background checks, health screenings and orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Patient assessment and rapid recognition of clinical changes
- IV therapy and medication administration best practices
- Electronic medical record documentation and care coordination
- Strong teamwork, time management and patient-centered communication
