Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Step-Down Unit
- Monitor and assess patients' clinical status, recognizing and escalating changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely, following protocols and best practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Document care accurately and timely in the medical record
- Support patient and family education, ensuring understanding of condition and plan
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Louisiana licensure required or eligible
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
- Experience or strong interest in step-down/telemetry care
- Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to manage acutely ill patients
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with step-down unit workflows and telemetry monitoring
- Strong assessment and patient monitoring abilities
- Medication administration and IV care competency
- Proficient documentation and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced settings
