Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned patients
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions with clinical judgment
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Document patient status, interventions and outcomes clearly and timely
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and self-care
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse license (PA) or ability to obtain prior to start
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred where applicable
- Comfortable and experienced with 12-hour shift work
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient advocacy mindset
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing process, standards of care and patient safety practices
- Skill in medication administration, IV therapy and documentation
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
- Ability to respond to emergencies and use clinical judgment under pressure
- Customer-service orientation and ability to support patients and families
