Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform pre-operative assessments and prepare pediatric patients for surgery
Provide compassionate, age-appropriate patient and family education and support
Collaborate with surgical and perioperative teams to ensure safe, efficient patient flow
Monitor and document patient status during the pre-op period with accuracy
Participate in required orientation and training to align with facility protocols
Maintain a safe, child-friendly environment and advocate for patient comfort

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) — role requires RN credential
Experience or comfort working in pediatrics and pre-operative settings (Pre-op/Peds)
Willingness to complete facility orientation as provided
Strong communication skills for interacting with children, families, and care teams
Ability to work the facility-assigned 4-hour shift blocks

Knowledge & Skills

Pre-operative nursing care and pediatric assessment
Child and family-centered communication and education
Basic perioperative processes and patient safety practices
Accurate clinical documentation and handoff communication
Team collaboration in a surgical/pre-op environment
