Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients during the shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor clinical status throughout the night
• Administer medications and treatments safely and timely according to orders
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and handoffs
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in the medical record
• Respond to patient and family needs with clear communication and empathy
• Escalate changes in patient condition and participate in plan-of-care adjustments

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in California (active and in good standing) — required
• Experience or familiarity with MST (listed as a primary skill) — preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS are a plus
• Comfort working independently on night shifts and managing evolving patient needs
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and infusion/IV management proficiency
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, overnight setting
• Patient- and family-centered communication skills
