Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for MST patients
  • Assess patient condition, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
  • Document patient care clearly in the electronic medical record
  • Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and assist in emergency situations
  • Maintain infection control and patient safety standards at all times

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact RN with CA eligibility)
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred where applicable
  • Clinical experience in nursing; experience with MST specialty is a plus
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work per-diem shifts, including weekend availability

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of nursing process and patient assessment
  • Medication administration and IV therapy competency
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Patient and family education techniques
