Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and respond promptly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and discharge instructions
• Lead safe handoffs and communicate critical information during shift changes
• Contribute to unit quality improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; ability to obtain licensure in New Hampshire as required
• Recent Med/Surg clinical experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) as applicable or preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
• Willingness to complete facility orientation and any required trainings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and successful NCLEX-RN pass

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of Med/Surg protocols, wound care, and medication administration
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and manage multiple patients safely
• Familiarity with infection control standards and patient safety practices
• Comfortable collaborating within interdisciplinary teams and escalating concerns appropriately
• Competence in IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, and post-op nursing care as applicable
