Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document care clearly and contemporaneously in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate effective care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement, and compassionate care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required (New Hampshire license or applicable compact/multi-state privileges as accepted)
• Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (posting lists Medical-Surgical as primary skill)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications encouraged
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour clinical blocks as indicated by the posting

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency in patient assessment, wound care, and medication administration
• Comfortable with IV therapy, monitoring, and post-operative care
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
