Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing to trauma, burn and surgical ICU patients, maintaining a 2:1 ICU patient ratio
• Perform and manage advanced procedures including wound care, EVD management and participation in Massive Transfusion Protocols (MTP)
• Operate and monitor critical care equipment and technologies with attention to patient safety
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate changes in condition clearly to the interdisciplinary team
• Act decisively during codes and rapid response situations, using strong critical thinking under pressure
• Collaborate with unit leadership and peers, offering help and asking questions to ensure excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant ICU/critical care experience (trauma, burn, or surgical ICU experience preferred)
• BSN preferred
• CCRN preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and able to meet the 2 weekends per pay period requirement
• Demonstrated strong communication and critical thinking skills

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on ICU nursing experience with trauma, burn and surgical populations
• Familiarity with critical care equipment and bedside technologies
• Experience with Meditech EMR documentation
• Skilled in wound care, external ventricular drain (EVD) management, and Massive Transfusion Protocols
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and float across related ICU/PCU units
• Strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and dependable situational awareness
