Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU
• Monitor and assess complex patient conditions and intervene appropriately
• Administer medications and advanced therapies per provider orders
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust treatment plans
• Document patient care and changes accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge needs
• Respond quickly to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions
• Support unit goals for quality, safety, and patient satisfaction

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Louisiana)
• Critical care nursing experience (ICU) — demonstrated comfort with high-acuity patients
• Comfort working 12-hour shifts as part of a rotating schedule
• BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong assessment, IV/medication administration, and patient-monitoring skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven ICU skills: ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, titratable drips
• Skilled in rapid assessment and prioritization in critical situations
• Familiarity with critical care workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Accurate clinical documentation and medication administration practices
• Ability to mentor and support peers in a fast-paced environment
