Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients and their families
• Monitor and interpret advanced hemodynamic and ventilator parameters
• Deliver timely interventions and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage complex infusions safely
• Perform thorough assessments, document changes, and escalate concerns when needed
• Participate in shift handoffs, unit rounds, and family communication to ensure continuity of care
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the ICU

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse license (state licensure requirements apply)
• Minimum ICU experience preferred; new grads with critical care training may be considered
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or required depending on facility
• Comfort with ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and advanced monitoring
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in high-acuity settings
• Ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of critical care nursing principles and best practices
• Skill with advanced cardiac life support and emergency response
• Proficiency interpreting arterial blood gases, hemodynamics, and ventilator waveforms
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm during high-pressure situations
