Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients, monitoring status and responding to changes
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Operate and manage critical care equipment such as ventilators, hemodynamic monitors and infusion devices
• Administer medications, titrate drips and perform advanced clinical procedures according to policy
• Document patient assessments, interventions and responses accurately and timely in the medical record
• Communicate effectively with physicians, families and team members to support patient-centered care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license in Hawaii (or eligible for Hawaii licensure)
• BLS required; ACLS required or obtained per facility policy (licensure/certification assistance available)
• ICU experience preferred — skilled in assessment and management of critically ill patients
• Comfortable with ventilator management, vasoactive drips and triaging complex clinical situations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented ICU environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of critical care assessment and monitoring
• Proficiency with ventilator settings, ABG interpretation and advanced cardiac life support
• Experience with IV therapy, central lines and infusion pumps
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization and time management
