Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to ICU patients
• Perform continuous assessment and monitoring of hemodynamic and respiratory status
• Administer medications, blood products, and advanced therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to drive patient outcomes
• Document patient care thoroughly and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Support families with clear, compassionate communication during critical moments
• Adhere to infection control and unit safety protocols to maintain a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Hawaii licensure or eligibility to obtain is preferred
• ICU experience or demonstrated critical care competency (preferred)
• BLS required; ACLS and other critical care certifications highly preferred
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour ICU shifts and managing high-acuity patients
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and effective communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN)
• BSN preferred where possible; ongoing professional development encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring (ventilator/airway management, hemodynamics)
• Ability to interpret labs, telemetry, and diagnostic data quickly
• Familiarity with common ICU equipment and emergency protocols
• Proficient documentation and handoff communication
• Team-oriented mindset with strong prioritization skills
