Shift Type: Per diem, 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM day shift (per diem schedule; days vary based on staffing needs)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
  • Perform rapid triage and focused assessments to prioritize care
  • Administer medications and IV therapy safely and accurately
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and the ED team to coordinate treatment
  • Document patient care timely and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
  • Respond calmly and effectively to critical situations and emergencies
  • Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Emergency Department experience or training preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Current Basic Life Support skills and familiarity with emergency protocols

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Triage and emergency assessment
  • Trauma and acute care principles
  • IV placement and medication administration
  • Familiarity with sepsis recognition and rapid response protocols
  • Proficient documentation in electronic medical records
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
