Contract Type: Per-Diem

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and stabilize patients arriving in the emergency department with urgency and clinical confidence
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor patient condition and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to deliver timely, high-quality care
- Provide compassionate patient and family education during stressful moments
- Participate in unit quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred
- Prior Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
- Comfort and stamina for 12.5-hour ED shifts and fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork mindset
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency assessment and triage skills
- IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedures common to ED
- Ability to manage multiple patients and priorities calmly under pressure
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
- Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient advocacy
