Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients with skill and dignity
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient status, and changes in condition
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to coordinate excellent care
- Document patient care thoroughly and professionally in the electronic record
- Assist with ADLs, wound care, and mobility support to promote recovery and comfort
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and home-care needs
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control best practices
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN license in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Comfortable with medication administration and basic clinical procedures
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Vital signs assessment and basic clinical observations
- Electronic medical record (EMR) charting basics
- Infection control and patient safety principles
- Strong time management and prioritization under busy conditions
- Compassionate patient- and family-centered care
