Licensed Practical Nurse – UHC Staffing

Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem as scheduled, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (overnight 12.5-hour shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as an LPN
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Perform thorough assessments and document changes in condition
Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team and families
Support resident comfort, dignity, and daily living activities
Follow infection control and safety protocols consistently
Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment and mentor peers when appropriate

Qualifications

Current, active LPN license in New Mexico
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain promptly
Current immunizations and TB screening as required by facility policy
Comfortable working overnight 12.5-hour shifts on a per diem basis
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a fast-paced team
Background check and drug screen clearance as required by the employer

Education

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fundamentals in medication administration and wound care
Clinical assessment skills and ability to recognize changes in condition
Accurate and timely documentation practices
Ability to work independently on assigned shifts and escalate concerns appropriately
Familiarity with resident-centered care and long-term care routines
Comfort using electronic charting systems or willingness to learn
