Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered ICU nursing care to critically ill adults
• Assess, monitor and document patient status using clinical judgment and evidence-based practice
• Administer medications, manage infusions and titrate therapies per protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and lead bedside interventions during emergencies
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and handoffs to support continuity of care
• Mentor and support colleagues to promote a positive, safety-focused unit culture

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (state licensure required)
• ICU clinical experience (previous critical care experience highly desired)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-acuity settings and collaborate with teams
• Current CPR certification and any facility-required credentials or trainings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred (or equivalent nursing degree/license)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills in critical care
• Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Safe medication administration and infusion pump management
• Effective communication with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
• Basic familiarity with electronic medical record documentation and unit workflows
