Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans using Siemens Sensation 64 and GE LightSpeed 16 systems to support accurate diagnoses
• Operate X-Ray and fluoroscopy equipment as needed while adhering to radiation safety protocols
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for ER patients and other acute care cases
• Prepare and position patients for virtual colonography and gated cardiac CT procedures when requested
• Accurately document exams and patient data in Cerner and McKesson PACS to keep clinical teams informed
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff, and support teleradiology workflows during night coverage
• Maintain equipment, perform routine QC checks, and escalate issues to engineering or leadership
• Participate in float rotations and complete floor-specific orientation to ensure safe, consistent care

Qualifications

• Valid California medical license required
• ARRT-CT certification required and ARRT-R required
• Fluoroscopy credentialing and current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of CT and X-Ray experience preferred as listed in the posting
• Comfortable working evening and night shifts, including every-other-weekend rotation
• Familiarity with acute care settings and ER patient workflows
• Ability to complete 3-4 shift floor-specific orientation and float across radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong expertise in CT imaging and cross-sectional anatomy
• Proficient in radiologic imaging (X-Ray) and fluoroscopic techniques
• Experience with PACS operation, specifically McKesson PACS
• Skilled in EMR charting using Cerner
• Familiar with virtual colonography and gated cardiac CT protocols
• Comfortable supporting teleradiology workflows such as Nighthawk
• Experience operating Siemens Sensation 64 and GE LightSpeed 16 scanners
• Ability to manage high-volume scanning (10-20 scans per shift) while maintaining quality
